Blepharitis Microdermal Abrasion Treatment
Blepharitis can be a challenging condition to control as the build up of debris on the lash margin can be difficult to remove with treatments at home. We use a specialised BlephEx tool to gently remove this inflammatory material in our practice with a motorised medical microsponge, offering welcome relief for patients.
Digital Compound Microscopy
Not many optometry practices have a compound microscope! Some patients with blepharitis have evidence of a micro-organism called demodex. We can visualise under the microscope after we remove an infected eyelash. This helps us confirm the diagnosis and monitor for improvement in your condition.
